    MOCCA 2006

<2006_mocca_01.jpgSo... MOCCA was really fun. I got to meet some famous artists and they signed some comic books WOOHOO!.

I'm going to post the short version and the long version later at my livejournal. Also click on the photo for a slideshow of the event. I'll post more photos as soon as Yali hands over all the photos.

The first day I didn't do much because after setup I sorta looked after the booth (actually Nico and Yali really looked after the SVA graduates table), I had to leave for work. I came back like 30 mins before closings so I just went around and met Jim Dougan, who I shall collaborate with soon on a very cool story. Pretty much that was it for the first day.

The second day was more fun cause I could stay the whole day. Pedro and Jack I met some of my cartooning teachers from SVA, Keith(who organized and brought this whole thing together), Matt Madden, Jessica Abel, and Tom Hart. I also met Jim Higgins, who teaches continuing ed. at SVA.

I spent like 10000 times more than what I made selling my own comics but the good thing is I met the creators too so HA! I met Becky Cloonan, Steve Uy(who hung out with us after the con on both days ^_^), Raina Telgemeier, Dave Roman, Kean Soo, Ryan Sias, Johane Matte, Christine Norrie, Brian Wood, and many others. I didn't have much courage to go up to and say hello. Among those who I didn't say hello but wanted to were Heidi from The Beat, Tim Leong from Comic Foundry, Joe Flood, and members of act-i-vate (I sort of waved hi to Dean Haspiel ^^;;)

I'll post more about it at my livejournal
